Qatar Airways starts three weekly flights on Doha- Djibouti route

Mumbai – Continuing its expansion in Africa, Qatar Airways has launched three-times-weekly flights from Doha’s Hamad International Airport to Djibouti–Ambouli International Airport in the Horn of Africa. The airline has deployed Airbus A320 on the Doha–Djibouti route featuring up to 12 seats in Business Class and up to 132 seats in Economy Class. This is the airline’s 145th destination on its global network. The service to Qadar_Airways660Djibouti is part of Qatar Airways’ expansion plans to introduce new routes, new frequencies to existing markets, and induct new aircraft into its growing fleet.

The flight operates on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight number QR1437 departs Doha at 0010 hrs to arrive in Djibouti at 0255 hrs. On the return leg, flight QR1438 departs Djibouti at 0355 hrs and arrives in Doha at 0700 hrs. (All times local).

Qatar Airways celebrated the launch of this route with a community initiative that supports the building of an elementary school, ‘Al Amal’ in Djibouti. The airline has joined hands with the RAF Foundation of Qatar for this initiative.
